Hello, I'm Kaya, an artist from Taiwan now based in the UK. My artistic journey began in Japan, where I moved at 14 and studied at a design high school. Those years gave me the freedom to draw and illustrate, which I loved. After that, I explored fashion design and film school, but I soon realized that what I truly wanted was simple—I just wanted to draw.
Growing up, I was enchanted by the beautiful illustrations in British children's books like Peter Rabbit, Alice in Wonderland, and Winnie the Pooh. Those stories inspired me to move to the UK in 2018, where I’ve found a home for my creativity. In 2024, I showcased my work at several art markets, launched an online shop, and started taking commissions.
From February 2025, my husband and I will be co-founders of Mr Odie's, a café and event space in Stratford-Upon-Avon named after our beloved dog. At Mr Odie's, I’ll be selling my art and hosting art-related events, creating a warm and inspiring space for creativity, connection, and community.
